What should I upload?

Upload a normal video saved from your Live Photo. On iPhone, open the Live Photo in Photos, tap ••• (More) and choose Save as Video. On a Mac, export the Live Photo to get its .MOV. That saved video is the file to drop in here, because a browser can't read the motion straight from the Live Photo itself.

Will the GIF have sound?

No, GIFs don't support audio. If you want to keep the sound, use the Live Photo to Video tool instead.

Why does my GIF look grainy or banded on other converters?

Most tools reuse one generic color table for every clip. We generate a palette tuned to your specific Live Photo, which is what keeps gradients and skin tones smooth.

Why is the GIF larger than the original video?

GIF is an older format and far less efficient than modern video codecs. For a smaller file, export to MP4 with the Live Photo to Video tool.
